From a HR Background To a CEO

Is a move from HR director to chief executive a bridge too far? Can HR managers become the CEO of a company? Why HR Leaders Never Become the CEO, but Should Can HR Become CEO Of a Company? Can CHROs become CEOs? An undignified way of describing anybody's job, you may say, but if the latter is the view taken by any CEO, it doesn't bode well for an HR director hoping to take the top spot in a business.
