Read these information prior to your interview / application, as it's a mandatory information for you to read and understand

2. Members of VSHR: Most of the members are social workers, who are professionals, working for our job/career and beside that also there are some shining university students who are keen to make a great difference in to the community. So members are working Monday - Friday working for their job and Saturday- Sunday, without hanging out, work together for helping the community, that's why the members of VSHR are called as real life super hero/heroine. You are welcome to be a part of this super hero team. 

We use SLACK to streamline our online communication during weekdays. Our members may have time constraints but we have the influence, connection, skill set, experience and strong determination to make positive impacts to the community. 

3. Read all the projects including Medx of VSHR. As you will be assigned to multiple projects during your journey at VSHR. Multiple project will be assigned to you based on your role and workload. It's an amazing experience and opportunity. All projects are highly scalable. That means when you join in, someone will give the key for your sprint and you will handover to your successor before your departure. Like an amazing rally race!

4. Read about Sustainable Development Goals of United nations. VSHR is working on particularly on SDG - 3, 4 and 17. 

5. Strategy on Sustainable development: Our key focus is - our initiative needs to create sustainable impact on the community also our initiative itself must be sustainable as well. So it will keep running like an automated process to help at longer run. We believe sustainable development is the true development, but sustainable development takes a long preparation and also a lot of tactical works unlike traditional charity work. So if your internship duration 4 - 8 weeks, you will may see certain phases of whole project. But you will definitely being part of an amazing journey. During your internship, you will do a lot of strategic work, planning, leadership, coordination, create materials, videos, research, presentation, workshop and also field works based on on the need of the project you will be assigned. 

6. English Communication: Vietnam is for Vietnamese people. So main language is also Vietnamese. English is not an official language but most VSHR members are able to communicate in English. However, you will need to be patient and respect this downside. It will be a great experience for you to learn how to overcome the communication barrier.

7. Your self communication: Be transparent, honest, and clear communicative. Completely avoid - talking about people's on their back, avoid making jokes which can hurt people feelings, telling one person's chit chat content to another people.  VSHR members really hate such behavior. If you already think you almost getting in to a conflict due to another person's unacceptable behavior, then you can request support from Program Director. If you violet this rule, your internship can be even terminated.

8. Working with your team: Be very respectful to your team members, when you are assigned to a project, you will need to know - your project team member, build your connection with them, share your passion, and add high contribution to earn team member's respect. Don't expect they will respect or listen to you without doing so. One important suggestion, be open and request feedback from program director time to time, it will make you understand if you are on right track. 

9. Office working hours: In VSHR we are all social workers. So we have our own professional jobs living during weekday. So our full time VSHR office sessions are on weekend. Full time 8.30 am - 7 PM (tentative).
Ya, we basically spend our all weekend to develop sustainable - scalable projects for helping community by sacrificing our relaxing weekend. During the weekday, you will be working offsite. If you have student project team members, you will inspire and invite them to work with them during the weekdays offsite. One key point, even though during the weekday you will be working offsite. During the weekend you can have 2 days off. You can request to fix these two days at the beginning of your internship. 

10. Startup Spirit and Round the clock Initiatives: In VSHR members work and believe in 'Startup Spirit'. That means when something up we get that done, don't wait for other to get that done. You should be ready to experience this and be ready to adopt it. Member of VSHR has their own full time jobs which help them pay their bills, as an interns you will often receive message at late hours, during your off days, but you can decide to answer. If you are willing to answer that time with your pleasure, that's fine. Or you can reply that later on your working hours. VSHR members works round the clock as soon they have time, or make their time, they just DO IT. 

11. Iceberg and Sustainable Development: The Sustainable development is much similar to ice burgh on the ocean. The shape you see above the sea level is very small part comparing to the huge shape which is under the water. So every sustainable projects VSHR is working on are similar to the iceberg. So when an event goes to the community but behind it could have hundreds of initiatives, thousands of tasks. VSHR does not do any event for community fun but do to make positive changes happen.

​So based on your starting day at VSHR you can be different part of that iceberg. As your internship is just for 6 weeks of time, so you may have several community events or some events , or even 0 event based on the the time you started in iceberg. But you will be completely occupied with a lot of project development task, works to give you an outstanding learning experience if you are ready and get selected for this program. 

12. Award Opportunity: If your contribution get rated as outstanding and you go beyond your role/responsibilities, then you will receive a special award named - Social Shaper. This is a special honor award for our interns. That will be a great achievement for you to showcase in your life, career, and profile.
