VSHR Culture

VSHR has a unique culture. VSHR was founded by John Masud Parvez in 2017, following his 4-year research on the Vietnamese health ecosystem.

Every VSHR member believes - ​
"In Marvel superheroes come from the sky, ocean, or land. But that does not happen in real life. 

So let's ask - Who is a superhero? Super here is someone who takes care of their own, their family, and also people in the community. So we decided to take those roles, to help the people in the community and become real-life superheroes."

The love, passion, the family of VSHR

VSHR is not a company, not a group, not a club, not a person's name.
VSHR is a spirit, belief, and social organization for making a better health services model for Vietnamese people, making Vietnam successful to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals - 3 (health), 4(Education), and 17.

VSHR is a big family, we love each other, share with each other, and feel for each other.  So on the days like VSHR Founder's Day, VSHR New Year's day, and VSHR Member's Day, we look back to share our passion, and love for each other and recharge our passion as well.

VSHR Core Values

VSHR core Values

History of VSHR

​John Masud Parvez was sick for 6 months of his sinusitis problem. During that period he saw a major amount of low-income people at the hospital and realized the situation of the patient experience.

Then He gave away his Technology Ph.D. study work and started his research on the health ecosystem.  After running that research for 4 years, John founded VSHR in 2017 to solve the problems which he listed in his research work.

In the Last 2 years, VSHR has now 300 members, running 19 major initiatives aligned to 3 SDGs and supporting 250,000 Vietnamese people

How VSHR was created?

​John Masud Parvez, Founder of VSHR was speaking at the International Design Summit 2019, which took place at Reverie Hotel Conference Scala hall, Time Square, Ho Chi Minh on May 2019. ​

Vision and Mission of VSHR

VSHR's vision is to make Vietnam successful to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals - 3 (Health), 4 (Education), and 17 (partnership for Goals). 

John Masud Parvez was explaining to the Design conferences that meaning  - Not only the rich, not only the middle class but also low-income Vietnamese people will have quality health and education by 2030.

Social Revolution Model

Traditionally NGOs are the role model for nonprofit organizations (NPO). But when it comes to scaling all those NGOs struggle. Because this model is heavily based on it grants and funds. 

​Then in the 1980s, Dr. Yunis invented a new model for NPOs which is named "Social Business". It took around 25 years and then this model become very successful and directly impacted the poverty problem (SDG 2). Due to that, he won one of the most prestigious awards - the Nobel Prize. Though VSHR, the founder of VSHR John Masud Parvez established another new NPO model during the last 3 years, which is called as - Social Revolution Model.

VSHR Founder's Day 2018
